I chose this "Change My Mind" meme because I think it gets my biggest takeaway from these readings across in a funny but realistic way. At work, I've seen how easy it is for people to rely on emails or short text messages instead of just having a quick conversation. Those messages can be misunderstood, and before you know it, a small issue turns into a much bigger one, especially in the construction world because everything moves so fast but there are so many tiny pieces. Most of the time, if someone just walked over or picked up the phone, the problem would be solved in a few minutes.

This image connects really well to the readings because it makes the point that communication isn't just about getting a message out, it's about choosing the best way to communicate. Chapman talks about slowing down, listening, and not reacting right away when emotions are high. Kaneko also explains that different situations call for different communication methods, and sometimes a face to face conversation works much better than another email. My "change my mind" statement would be: "Most work misunderstandings could be solved with a 1 minute conversation instead of another email."
